Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the on-site quality program for large-scale projects, including heavy civil and federal work under USACE/NAVFAC requirements.

You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, supervise QC inspectors, and be the primary point of contact for test results and nonconformances, ensuring compliance and timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC/NICET Level III certification required.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Strong written communication to document NCRs and nonconformances.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
