Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects (heavy civil, industrial, or federal NAVFAC/USACE work). You would supervise field inspectors, write the QC plan, and stand between site teams and the owner's QA representative, ensuring every test result and NCR is documented.

Your weekly cadence revolves around feature start inspections, follow-up coverage, and rigorous data-backed reporting to close out

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and communicates with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present results in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
