Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You will supervise field inspectors and technicians, write the project quality control plan, and lead three-phase control meetings.

The role demands 6+ years in construction QC with 2+ years supervising staff, plus USACE CQM-C certification and NICET Level III or ICC certs.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC/NICET certifications.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.
Writes clearly and communicates effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
Be present on active jobsites, travel as required.
