Job summary

Sun Construction, Inc. on the Big Island (Hilo) is seeking a seasoned Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead the project quality program.

The role requires ensuring compliance with contract specs, codes, safety rules, and quality standards across active construction sites, while coordinating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, owners, and government representatives. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction quality control experience.
• Experience on federal construction projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the project Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct daily quality control inspections and document project activities.
• Coordinate and perform the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up Meetings).
• Coordinate testing and inspections with third-party testing agencies.
• Maintain quality control documentation, inspection reports, testing records, and project logs.
