Job summary

Silver Mountain Construction, LLC (SMC) seeks a qualified Quality Control Manager to lead on-site QC for federal construction projects in Alaska. The role oversees QC plans, submittals, inspections, and daily reporting using RMS, coordinating with the superintendent, subcontractors, and clients.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree in CM/Engineering (or equivalent experience), ICC certification, and 5+ years in QCM/PM roles on large projects, with SSHO duties a plus.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience as QCM/PM on large federal/DoD construction projects.
• In lieu of a 4-year degree, a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years as QCM plus ICC Building Inspector certification on federal/DoD projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads QC planning, development, and implementation for all work divisions from notice to proceed through final acceptance.
• Reviews project specifications and shop drawings for conformance with requirements.
• Coordinates material submittals, RFIs, and daily QC reporting.
• Maintains and updates project QC logs and closeout documents.
• Conducts meetings and ensures compliance with safety and contract requirements.
