Job summary

GY6 in Honolulu, HI, seeks a Construction Quality Control Manager to design and run a project-specific QC program for Hawaiian projects, aligning with Kinaole’s mission and contract requirements. The role coordinates design submittals, field inspections, and testing to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

You will lead QC specialists and technicians, maintain documents, and mentor the project team, working on-site across the Hawaiian Islands with a focus on safety and quality excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have college degree in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Minimum of 5 years construction experience in roles such as Project Superintendent QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Familiar with USACE EM385-1-1.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement a project-specific QC program compliant with contract requirements.
• Review and approve design and construction submittals; certify compliance before on-site work.
• Perform daily site observations; notify Superintendent of non-conforming work; oversee corrective actions.
• Implement USACE three phases of quality control.
• Coordinate submittal coordination with project team; manage testing and inspections logs.
• Maintain submittal registers and samples; update documentation.
• Schedule and coordinate QC Specialists and inspectors.
• Develop and maintain QC documentation for audits.
• Train and mentor project team members.
