Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a seasoned QA Inspector for a large heavy civil project. The role requires performing field QA inspections, surveillance, and three-phase verification to ensure conformity with plans, specs, and safety requirements.

Strong OSHA/EM 385 experience and USACE familiarity are preferred; federal background may be required. The candidate will review submittals, monitor deficiencies, maintain plans/as-builts, and generate daily reports while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 20+ years in construction QA with heavy civil experience.
• USACE federal projects preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour safety training required.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA rules.
• Experience using RMS is a plus.
• Ability to review submittals and daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QA inspections to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Provide field surveillance and three-phase inspections with daily reports.
• Ensure contractor work adheres to schedule and contract documents.
• Inspect materials, installation, and testing for compliance.
• Review contractor submittals including QA and Safety Plans.
• Monitor deficiencies with corrective actions and audit trails.
• Review daily QC reports for accuracy and deficiencies.
• Conduct safety inspections and document activities observed.
• Provide onsite quantity verifications and progress reports.
• Maintain up-to-date plans, specs, amendments, and as-builts.
• Track deficiencies, RFIs, and field problems.
• Summarize NAS-based activities and potential claims chronology.
