Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Representative to support the Old Hickory Turbine Generator Rehabilitation Project in Hendersonville, TN.

You will perform on-site inspections, monitor contractor performance, review QC documentation, and ensure compliance with EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA 29 CFR 1926. You will document daily activities in RMS, participate in safety reviews, and coordinate with USACE personnel to drive quality and timely completion.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of quality control or quality assurance experience on construction projects.
• USACE or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience in welding, machining, and/or industrial construction.
• Performing field inspections to determine workmanship acceptability and contract compliance.
• Interpreting construction plans, specs, and reviewing as-built drawings.
• Reviewing contractor daily quality control reports for accuracy and deficiencies.
• Knowledge of EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA Construction Regulations (29 CFR 1926).
• OSHA 30 Certification and valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ongoing construction through on-site visits and review contractor reports and test results.
• Independently inspect complex civil construction activities with technical expertise.
• Ensure work complies with schedule, plans, specs, safety regs and contract documents.
• Review QC reports and ensure documentation of control operations.
• Provide daily QA inspection and surveillance of the Contractor’s Quality Control Program.
• Attend QA meetings and contribute to risk management and submittal reviews.
• Verify site layout, elevations, and compliance before start of work.
• Maintain deficiency tracking and RFIs; prepare daily progress reports.
