Job summary

NYC Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Construction Project Manager III to supervise the ACP Technical Review Unit and oversee asbestos project reviews, inspections, and compliance tasks. You will lead technical staff, ensure regulatory adherence, and coordinate with agencies on enforcement actions.

This role supports housing initiatives and requires extensive field and regulatory inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of experience managing construction projects with at least $300,000 per project.
• Applicant must oversee technical review and inspections related to asbestos programs.
• Must be capable of preparing detailed inspection reports and evidence for hearings.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical review and approval process for asbestos project applications.
• Oversee administrative and technical reviewers in the ACP/TRU.
• Conduct pre-abatement and active asbestos inspections and assess life-safety issues.
• Represent TRU at inter-agency regulatory meetings and provide training.
