Responsibilities

• Manages the solicitation process for competitively bid work and vendor procurement.
• Reviews plans for codes, structural integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Performs field inspections to assess structural stability and remedial needs.
• Reviews loads and safety parameters to protect assets like bulkheads and bridges.
• Manages contractors/consultants; negotiates contracts, amendments and change orders.
• Supervises project managers and engineers; reviews plans, calculations, pay apps and invoices.
• Coordinates with stakeholders and various county agencies; oversees progress and issues.
• Prepares vendor evaluations and assists in budget and fiscal year planning.
