Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to drive sophisticated controls construction projects with budgets over $1M, focusing on Building Solutions North America. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate vendors, and ensure alignment with contract scope and client expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture, 8+ years of PM experience in building construction, and PMI/PMP pursuit within two years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is required or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with large construction projects valued over $5 million.
• Experience managing Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, Fire and Security systems is advantageous.
• PMI/PMP certification within two years of employment is expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial accounting systems; travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract scope.
• Maintain positive cash flow and pursue change orders to maximize project value.
• Enforce safety standards with all staff and subcontractors.
• Follow repeatable project management procedures and processes.
• Balance client satisfaction with achieving project financial goals.
