Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Project Manager for Major Projects in the Building Technologies & Solutions division. You will lead large HVAC controls construction initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and strong cash flow.

The role requires PMI/PMP consideration, superb communication, and coordination with owners, contractors, and internal teams. Responsibilities include developing schedules, handling change orders, and mentoring teams while ensuring safety and compliance across

Qualifications

• Five or more years of direct project management in building construction or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, fire and security systems preferred.
• PMI/PMP certification expected within two years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical material for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution for major HVAC controls construction projects.
• Develop schedules, manage scope, budget, and change orders.
• Monitor cash flow, billings, and profitability against plans.
• Review contracts, terms, and conditions; coordinate subcontractors.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance across sites.
