Job summary

VEIT is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to lead bid opportunities and manage awarded projects from start to finish. You will oversee scheduling, cost containment, progress monitoring, and client contact to ensure successful, on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, proficiency in construction bidding and PM software, and strong communication to interact with management, vendors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of 5 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills, including to all levels of management, employees, vendors, and partners.
• Ability to develop and nurture lasting client relationships.
• Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista and HCSS construction software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bid opportunities: seek out and complete bids through client relationships and networking.
• Estimate projects for bid submittal by reviewing plans, calculating quantities, gathering quotes and submittals.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings to ensure communication between project managers, field, and office support.
• Manage project costs by tracking labor, equipment, and materials; oversee billing and invoicing.
• Maintain compliance with EEO/DBE project requirements and ensure project safety, budget, and schedule.
• Adapt to changes in scope, obtain approvals for change orders, and coordinate with owners/GCs.
