Job summary

Walbridge seeks an experienced leader to provide administrative and technical direction for large, complex projects. Responsibilities include client interface, project scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction and safety oversight, and financial performance management.

Qualified candidates will have a 4-year degree in construction management or engineering and 10+ years in commercial construction with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management /engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience and knowledge of commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management.
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented professional.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; interface with client, A/E, subcontractors and end users.
• Establish project objectives, policies and procedures; plan, coordinate and supervise activities of all personnel on assigned project(s).
• Monitor/control construction through on-site supervision; authorize change requests and purchase requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and standards as required; interpret policies as needed.
• Maintain project log and documentation; support safety program implementation and scheduling/engineering direction as required.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interests while maintaining client relationships.
