Job summary

Walbridge seeks a seasoned construction leader to provide overall administrative and technical direction for one large, complex project or several smaller ones. You will interface with clients, oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement and safety while ensuring project objectives are met.

Qualifications include a 4-year degree in construction management or engineering and at least 10 years of commercial construction experience, with strong leadership and communication skills critical to success.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management /engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience and knowledge of commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management required.
• Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure on schedule and within budget.
• Authorize/approve all purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.
• Maintain official project log and documentation files; assist with safety program implementation.
