Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an experienced leader to provide overall administrative and technical direction for a large, complex project or multiple projects. You will interface with clients, manage scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and construction, with a strong emphasis on safety, cost control, and timely delivery.

The role requires extensive construction management experience, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and the ability to drive performance across teams.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management/engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience and knowledge of commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management.
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills; business-oriented professional.
• Reporting to regional Vice President of Operations, decisions can impact client relations and project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy; plan and supervise activities of all personnel on assigned project(s).
• Monitor and control construction through on-site supervision to keep project on schedule and within budget; authorize purchase requisitions and change requests.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to; interpret policies as required.
• Maintain official project log and documentation; assist with safety program implementation and provide direction to planning, scheduling and engineering functions.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests while maintaining good client relations.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.
