Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an experienced construction leader to direct a large, complex project or several smaller projects. You will interface with client representatives, manage scope, schedule, budget, procurement and safety across on-site teams.

Responsibilities include establishing objectives, guiding planning and scheduling, supervising on-site operations, controlling costs, and maintaining project documentation while reporting to regional management.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management /engineering degree or equivalent professional training.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience in commercial construction activities.
• Ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; authorize/approve all purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.
• Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to.
• Maintain official project log and documentation files. Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and maintain good relationship with Client.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.
