Job summary

Kay & Co is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Boston, MA to own commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractor and client relationships, and ensure projects stay on schedule and budget.

• Strong client-facing communication and ability to run a project independently.
• Proficient with standard project management and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from preconstruction through to final handover.
• Coordinate between architects, engineers, subcontractors and client stakeholders.
• Own project budgets, schedules and risk management.
• Manage occupied-space and phased renovations with minimal disruption to operations.
• Chair project meetings and manage RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.

About Our Client

Our client is a full-service commercial construction company that has been building across the New England region for over four decades. Their work spans preconstruction planning, general contracting, design-build and special projects, with a portfolio concentrated in retail, restaurant, corporate and commercial fit-out work.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through to closeout. You'll lead site teams, manage subcontractor and client relationships, and be the person accountable for keeping projects on programme and on budget.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the full project lifecycle across commercial and retail/restaurant builds, from preconstruction through to final handover
• Leading coordination between architects, engineers, subcontractors and client stakeholders
• Owning project budgets, schedules and risk management
• Managing occupied-space and phased renovation projects where minimal disruption to ongoing operations is critical
• Chairing project meetings and managing RFIs, submittals and change orders
• Mentoring Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers within the team
