Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an experienced construction leader to provide overall administrative and technical direction for large complex projects in Alabama. You will oversee design alignment, safety, scheduling, budgeting and procurement, interfacing with clients and on-site teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management or engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience in commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management.
• Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented professionalism.
• Reporting to regional Vice President of Operations, decisions impact client relations and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is built according to design, budget and schedule; interface with client representatives, A/E, subcontractors, end users, security, etc.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards; plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s).
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure on-schedule and within-budget delivery; authorize change requests and purchases.
• Ensure all policies, procedures, standards are adhered to and interpreted as required.
• Maintain official project logs and documentation; assist with safety program implementation and direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest while maintaining good client relations.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.
