Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Project Manager to administer and execute assigned construction projects in a safe, profitable, and timely manner. This role may involve multiple projects or large contracts and requires coordination with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The position progresses through two steps (I, II) to reflect growing skill and experience, with seniority tied to project size and complexity.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pre-Con managing construction projects, thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, cash flow procedures.
• Four year construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of projects from estimating to field with contract reviews, schedules, and purchase orders.
• Complete close out requirements and punch lists promptly; address warranty callbacks to protect relationships.
• Coordinate with the Project Superintendent on means/methods for profitable execution of work.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subs.
• Own overall project success including safety, schedule, profitability, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manage all billings to ensure timely payment applications and collections.
• Develop CPM schedule with Project Superintendent and coordinate procurement with Project Engineer.
• Ensure Last Planner System is used to manage schedules.
• Assist in preparing/ reviewing estimates with cost control focus, equipment, formwork and manpower.
• Support business development through client contacts, proposals, and negotiations on selected projects.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Reports by the 6th of each month in coordination with Superintendents.
• Review purchase orders and subcontracts for accuracy and timing.
• Understand and administer prime contract terms, documents, and insurance; issue notifications as needed.
• Review and approve change orders, supplements, and budget adjustments.
