Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Project Manager to lead assigned construction projects in a safe, profitable, and timely manner. The role involves overseeing preconstruction and execution, with a focus on cost control, schedules, and client relations.

The position progresses in two steps, offering increased responsibility from smaller projects to medium-scale work in the $20–$50 million range, and requires 5–10 years of experience for Step II. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in preconstruction and managing construction projects.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, and cash flow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Champions the orderly, timely transition of projects from estimating to field, including reviews of contract requirements and schedules.
• Manages close-out, warranties, and ensures timely payment applications.
• Coordinates means/methods with the Project Superintendent; monitors resources for profitability and safety.
• Develops and maintains PMP, schedules, procurement plans, environmental, quality, and risk management plans.
• Oversees project profitability, safety, schedule, quality, and client relations; makes personnel decisions affecting the project.
• Manages billing and cash flow; ensures prompt pay compliance with subs and owners.
• Develops CPM schedule and coordinates procurement and project engineer schedules; emphasizes Lean scheduling.
• Participates in estimates with cost control, equipment needs, formwork, materials, manpower, insurance, and schedule considerations.
• Supports business development through client contacts, proposals, and negotiations.
