Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to lead one large project or multiple projects, overseeing quality, timing, safety, and client relationships. You will mentor the project team and interface with owners and on-site staff in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a construction-focused degree and at least eight years of PM experience, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or CM or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of construction management or project management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple large, complex projects.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of construction law and standard business practices.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Supervise overall financial health of projects.
• Develop and maintain project financials and equipment projections.
• Allocate estimates, determine cost codes, and approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting; create monthly owner billings.
• Manage subcontracts, suppliers, and budget; oversee selections.
• Lead Assistant PMs and PM Engineers; assign and train staff.
• Act as main owner and on-site liaison; manage changes and approvals.
• Maintain schedule, budget, quality, safety, and risk compliance.
