Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to provide leadership for one large project or multiple projects, overseeing quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team. You will develop and improve customer relationships through excellent service and clear communication with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include supervising financial health, developing projections, handling subcontracts, coordinating with owner and on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of construction/project management or related experience.
• Ability to manage multiple, large complex projects.
• Strong communication and openness to feedback from diverse inputs.
• Understand construction law and standard business practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and web apps.

Responsibilities

• Supervise overall financial health of projects.
• Develop and maintain project financials and equipment projections.
• Allocate estimates, approve invoices, and manage cost codes.
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting; create monthly owner billings.
• Handle subcontracts and suppliers; manage budget and selections.
• Lead Assistant PMs and Engineers; assign tasks and train.
• Serve as main contact with owner and on-site representative.
• Resolve site concerns; manage change orders and approvals.
• Maintain schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
