Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Project Manager I to provide leadership on a large project or multiple projects, focusing on quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, and interaction with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have a solid background in construction management, a willingness to travel up to 100%, and a commitment to ethical, confidential operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial health of projects.
• Develop and maintain project financials and equipment projections.
• Allocate estimates into the financial system, determine cost codes, and approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting, and create monthly owner billings.
• Handle subcontracts and suppliers, manage budget and selections.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, providing job assignments and training.
• Act as main point of contact with owner and on-site representative.
• Resolve site concerns, handle change orders, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain schedule and budget, manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
