Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to provide overall leadership to one large project or multiple projects, overseeing quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team. You will build strong client relationships and communicate with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in construction-related field, at least eight years of construction or PM experience, and the ability to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of construction management or project management experience.
• Ability to handle multiple large complex projects.
• Strong communication and openness to feedback.
• Understanding of construction law and standard practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/web apps.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Supervise overall financial health of projects.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate project estimates into the financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting, create monthly owner billings.
• Handle subcontracts and suppliers, manage budget and selections.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, provide job assignments and training.
• Function as main point of contact with owner and on-site representative.
• Resolve site concerns, handle change orders, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain schedule and budget, manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
