Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex projects and guide project teams to deliver on schedule, budget, and quality. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Senior Superintendent, cost management, subcontractor negotiations, and rigorous adherence to contract documents.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of PM experience, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 10+ years of project management experience.
• Significant cast-in-place concrete experience for high-rise and mixed-use projects.
• Strong ability to manage complex projects and delegate effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong presentation skills.
• Understanding of estimating concepts and contract language.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and mentors to deliver predictable outcomes.
• Supervise project managers and ensure adherence to plans, safety, and quality.
• Oversee project budgets, costs, and profitability.
• Prepare estimates and assist in prime contract negotiations.
• Develop Project Management Plans and coordinate pre-construction activities.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, permits, and closeout processes.
• Monitor site performance and coordinate change orders and payments.
