Job summary

Onni is seeking a Senior Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize construction projects within budget and company guidelines. You will lead teams and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule and to quality standards.

The role requires 10+ years in project management, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Project and MS Office. Travel to sites may be required, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package and education allowances.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Project Management or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction and building codes.
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Windows.
• Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate a department with five or more employees.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively run a department in an efficient manner.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret prints, architectural drawings, financial and job cost reports.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or clarifications from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Excellent knowledge of the industry and trends impacting the business.
• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel for client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manages project teams of 5-10 staff including coordinators, engineers, and managers.
• Plans projects to meet goals within schedule, cost and quality constraints.
• Defines scope, goals and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Manages communication and sets expectations with team and stakeholders.
• Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Attends design meetings and provides constructability input on drawings.
• Drafts and submits budget proposals and budget changes as necessary.
• Negotiates contracts and change orders with subcontractors and consultants.
• Staffing decisions during the project cycle and recruitments when needed.
• Delegates tasks and resolves conflicts within the project team.
• Plans schedules and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Develops progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Determines status report content and analyzes results to troubleshoot issues.
• Manages scope changes and contingency plans.
• Defines success criteria and communicates them to involved parties.
• Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises team members and contractors.
• Conducts performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Builds and grows business relationships vital to project success.
• Conducts postmortems and creates recommendations reports.
• Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
• Participates in training sessions and meetings.
