Job summary

McCownGordon Construction seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from initiation to close-out in Kansas City. You will guide preconstruction, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management while building strong client and trade partner relationships.

The role requires 6+ years in project management, proficiency with Procore and MS Project, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of construction project management experience.
• Procore and Microsoft Project proficiency.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary leader on projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.
• Lead, coach, and develop Construction Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Oversee preconstruction, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and close-out.
• Manage relationships with clients, design teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure project scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets are met.
• Lead project meetings and drive documentation, reporting, and risk mitigation.
