Job summary

McCownGordon Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead large, complex projects and mentor teams across markets. You will drive preconstruction planning, develop master schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on site.

The role requires 15–20+ years in construction, a BS in CM/Engineering, and a proven track record of delivering major projects. Expect a high-responsibility, field-led leadership position with a focus on culture and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient with PC and e-mail applications.
• Proven ability to schedule, lead, and develop construction activities or projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing safety on projects.
• Ability to read, interpret contract documents and safety rules.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction, Project Set Up & Planning: Supports preconstruction, leads and manages operational plans for project pursuits.
• Develops and manages overall construction schedule(s).
• Reviews and provides feedback for trade partner scopes of work and contracts prior to finalization.
• Supports the overall project permitting process and develops General Conditions/Requirements.
• Manages site logistics, self-perform work, and safety plans; oversees hazard reviews and risk mitigation.
• Lead safety orientations and weekly site safety walk-throughs; document actions and follow-up.
• Coaches project team and leads ORM process; ensures documentation and communication.
• Manages budget, unit tracking, and recovery plans; coordinates with Building Performance Solutions.
• Leads pre-installation meetings and ensures project documentation is current.
