Job summary

McCownGordon Construction, LLC is seeking a senior operations leader to drive execution excellence across field and office teams on major commercial projects. You will align goals with business unit leaders and executives, oversee staffing, and guide risk, safety, and quality programs to maximize project performance.

You will collaborate with Estimating, Preconstruction, and operations leaders to ensure budget adherence, schedule integrity, and profitability while building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive construction supervision experience with a commercial general contractor; at least three projects valued over $50 million.
• Proven to establish project objectives and monitor performance; experience negotiating contracts and managing scheduling and costing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates across operations groups to assure execution excellence for projects, teams, and clients.
• Leads staffing discussions and ensures optimal coverage for current and upcoming projects.
• Builds strong relationships with owners, design teams, trade partners, suppliers, and associates through proactive communication.
• Resolves complex project challenges quickly while preserving client and partner relationships.
• Partners with Safety, QA/QC, MEP, Logistics, IT, and HR to mitigate risk and drive profit.
• Reviews labor projections and ensures alignment with project budgets; monitors WIP and performance metrics.
• Supports revenue forecasting and annual profitability for the self-perform market sector; reports progress to senior management.
