Job summary

Blueridgesearch is seeking a Project Manager to lead construction projects in education, municipal, local government and multifamily sectors. The role sits on the Leadership Team and collaborates with project teams, executives and directors to align on budgets, schedules and client expectations.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, staffing, subcontract management, and overseeing resources from start-up to closeout. Strong budgeting and safety leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager within core markets.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead multiple project teams and manage client relationships.
• Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficient with Prolog, CMiC or similar PM software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction on construction projects across core markets.
• Develop project plans, staffing, materials, subcontract requirements and equipment needs.
• Oversee resources from start-up through closeout, ensuring budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Review Pre-Construction phase and advise on changes impacting budget.
• Ensure knowledge of contracts and champion job site safety.
• Mentor staff and interface with Owner and Architect, Directors and teams.
• Manage cost control, billings, change management and monthly status reports.
• Engage in business development to procure future projects and clients.
