Job summary

Walbridge seeks an experienced leader to provide overall administrative and technical direction for a major construction program. The role includes interfacing with clients, scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and safety oversight to ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management/engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience in commercial construction.
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Business-oriented professional with ability to impact client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
• Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, end users, security, etc.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Monitor/control construction through on-site Superintendent and approve purchase requisitions and change requests.
• Ensure all policies and safety programs are adhered to.
• Maintain official project log and documentation; provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and maintain client relationships.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.
