Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a seasoned construction leader to provide administrative and technical direction for large, complex projects in the United States. You will oversee all facets from scoping through delivery, interfacing with clients, A/E teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule targets.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, risk management, and clear communication, with opportunities to influence multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience and knowledge of commercial construction activities, design, finance and management.
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented professional.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; interface with client representatives, A/E, subcontractors, end users, security, etc.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards; coordinate/supervise activities of all personnel on assigned projects.
• Monitor/control construction; authorize purchase requisitions, change requests; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Maintain official project log and documentation; assist with safety programs; direct planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests and maintain client relations.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.
