Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Project Superintendent in Washington to lead construction operations, coordinating a team of engineers, field staff and trade partners. You will ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery within budget and company standards.

The role requires a civil/structural construction degree and 7–8 years of large project experience, plus strong communication and software proficiency. This is a salary position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer software proficiency: MS Office, Excel templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.

Responsibilities

• Safety planning included in all pre-job planning and foremost in daily operations.
• Enforce all project, governmental and company safety requirements.
• Drive Hensel Phelps’ safety culture on the project.
• Responsible for all quality control on the project.
• Develop and manage project schedule with stakeholders.
• Coordinate logistics, site utilization, and trade partner activities.
• Ensure maintenance and safe operation of site equipment.
