Job summary

Flintco in Springdale, AR is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent with delegated administrative and technical tasks. This role requires the ability to review subcontracts, coordinate with project participants, and maintain thorough project documentation.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role, a BS in Engineering/Construction Management, and strong skills in submittals, scheduling, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in construction management or related roles.
• Knowledge of project documentation and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in writing/reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure scope, provisions, and contract amounts are correct.
• Review project documents and coordinate with Architect, Owner, local authorities, subcontractors and suppliers for productive day-to-day operations.
• Assist in determining submittal requirements and maintaining the submittal log; expedite materials/equipment to meet schedules.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the overall project schedule; perform site visits to ensure proper construction progress.
• Maintain daily records and prepare weekly timesheets and payroll information for processing.
• Disseminate correspondence and directives between Owner, Architect, subcontractors and suppliers for timely action.
• Maintain project files and documentation to ensure a clear history of the project.
• Track estimated vs actual costs and monitor subcontractor/self-performed work for billing.
• Assist in obtaining permits and ensuring all records are delivered timely to avoid delays.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervision.
