Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer with extensive construction project management experience to lead from planning through closeout on federal projects.

The role requires coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years in construction PM; PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years Construction Project Management experience.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience with Federal Construction projects, particularly USACE, is preferred.
• Strong background in Project Management with ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are required.
• Strong technical competencies to create presentation materials and deliver presentations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet milestones; serve as primary client contact.
• Review contract documents for schedule compliance and reasonableness.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement quality control to meet specs and standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits to address quality issues.
• Review contractor plans and submittals for approval.
• Prepare correspondence on contractor performance, RFIs, and issues.
• Assist with site visits and owner presentations.
• Mentor and train team members; oversee contract negotiations and compliance.
• Monitor progress and advise on delays; prepare pay estimates.
