Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Director to provide leadership across the full project lifecycle, driving strategy, risk management, and client relations. You will lead safety culture, develop strategic plans, and manage subcontractors to achieve project goals.

The role requires 15+ years in construction management with 5+ years of people leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field. Travel and non-traditional hours may be involved.

• Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability, and generate future work – Advanced
• Demonstrated track record of successful completion of projects from start to finish – Advanced

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership for the assigned project or work program across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Assists senior management with strategy development and supports company-wide initiatives and policies.
• Provides strategic direction to team members in light of broader work program plans.
• Serves as the primary client relationship executive at a leadership level and builds long-term client relationships.
• Escalates project risks and negotiates issue resolution including change orders and contingencies.
• Develops and executes overall subcontractor strategy for work program success.
• Leads preconstruction discussions and develops contractual obligations with clients and partners.
• Oversees project and schedule reviews to ensure contractual obligations are met and team accountability.
