Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks a Construction Coordinator II for DCAMM to monitor phases from start to final acceptance, maintaining schedules and budgets while guiding technical aspects of assigned projects.

Most work centers on the State House with potential cross-site assignments. You will coordinate with designers, general contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely milestones, accuracy of documentation, and successful closeout.

Qualifications

• At least five years of full-time or equivalent building/construction experience.
• Current valid Driver's License at the class level required.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience.
• Associate/Technical degree may substitute for one year.

Responsibilities

• Review design and construction documents for compliance with codes and program.
• Meet with designers, contractors, and engineers to set milestones and payment terms.
• Attend weekly project meetings and monitor daily progress and reports.
• Recommend acceptance or refusal of payment requisitions and change orders.
• Coordinate project closeout and final acceptance with the Office of Design and Construction.
