Job summary

HPM is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Birmingham, AL to lead designated client accounts, coordinating with client teams and project management staff across tenant improvement and related services.

You will monitor execution of services, manage budgets, schedules, and change orders, and travel as needed up to 20% to meet client needs. A strong background in design/construction and owner-side delivery is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture is required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with significant owner-side exposure.
• Advanced budgeting, accounting and procurement knowledge for construction management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Establish profitability goals and strategies to achieve them; manage and control internal cost to ensure profitability.
• Manage and administer owner contracts, identify and manage risks daily.
• Prepare and coordinate project reports and drawings across all design/construction phases.
• Participate in marketing efforts and pursue new business opportunities with teams.
• Oversee budgets, cost control and reporting; maintain project plans and timelines.
• Chair meetings, prepare agendas, and manage master project budgets and timelines.
• Assist with bidder pre-qualification, RFPs/RFQs, and selecting project delivery method.
• Oversee change management; review change orders with owners and stakeholders.
• Direct marketing and presentation of services to clients.
• Review requisitions and invoices; advise owners on financials.
• Report major issues with recommendations; ensure timely project close-out.
