Job summary

Skanska is seeking a high-caliber Director - Project to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex construction initiatives. You will establish strategies, guide high-performing teams, and ensure safety, quality, client satisfaction, budget adherence, and risk management across the project lifecycle.

In this senior role, you will collaborate with clients, project executives, designers, consultants, and trade partners to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years track record of delivering on-time projects.
• 10+ years of experience maintaining or exceeding planned profit targets for projects.
• 10+ years creating and maintaining a culture of safety.
• 10+ years developing a culture of quality assurance and control.
• 10+ years managing and developing successful teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management/Engineering or 8 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex construction projects or multiple concurrent projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Establish project strategy, lead high-performing teams, and ensure safety, quality, client satisfaction, budget, schedule, risk management and operational excellence.
• Coordinate with clients, project executives, managers, superintendents, design partners, consultants and trade partners to develop execution plans and resolve issues.
• Oversee financial and operational performance, monitor risks and opportunities, support commercial and contractual strategy, and maintain stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide leadership presence, sound business judgment, deep construction knowledge, and promote collaboration and continuous improvement across teams and partners.
