Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the overall management of construction projects, ensuring successful completion. The role is based full-time on a jobsite in Yerington, NV and will require travel.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractor management, safety plans, and project documentation to ensure a high-quality delivery. The position requires a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture (or equivalent), plus 8–10 years of field construction

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Field construction management experience (8-10 years)
• Leadership ability
• Problem-solving ability and sense of urgency
• Organizational and communication skills
• Drafting and computer skills
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
• Thorough understanding of PM control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple or large, complex projects
• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum)
• Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
• Set up and implement job procedures to assure timely buyout and delivery
• Keep project on schedule
• Develop and maintain relationships with Owner, Architect and Subcontractors
• Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and procedures
• Maintain timely reporting to management
• Supervise project team according to Company policy
• Organize regular meetings with management and subcontractors
• Review contract conditions for compliance
• Document significant project events (accidents, delays, change orders)
• Direct preconstruction services and activities
• Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bids
• Assist with business development and interviews
• Maintain quality control and integrity of project
• Support estimating staff (bid item specialist)
• Complete project close-out procedures and warranty follow-up
