Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) seeks experienced leaders in design and construction to support complex projects, with emphasis on secure facilities (SCIF) and multi-discipline systems. The role focuses on owner representation across pre-construction and construction phases, managing cost, schedule, and quality for large programs in the Washington/Baltimore area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 15+ years field experience or Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-705 requirements and standards.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Understanding of codes, materials, methods and tools used in construction.
• Experience in contract administration and project controls.
• Preferred CCM or CQM certifications.
• Strong scheduling, cost estimation and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction and construction phase owner representation for medium- to large-scale projects.
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality on behalf of the client/owner.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead progress meetings.
• Review schedules for feasibility and track progress against deadlines.
• Lead QA inspections to ensure contract compliance and quality outcomes.
• Document and resolve issues with contractors, designers, and owners.
• Review and negotiate change order proposals for entitlement and price.
• Coordinate with accreditation authorities and third-party stakeholders.
• Oversee closeout activities including training, manuals, warranties, and stock materials.
