Job summary

MBP is seeking leaders in the design and construction industry to support the delivery of complex projects in the Washington/Baltimore DC metropolitan area. Candidates should have 10+ years of combined education and/or experience with advanced knowledge of MEP systems, and preference for those with experience on laboratory, data center, or secure facilities (SCIFs).

Main duties include on-site owner representation, managing cost, schedule, and quality, and leading QA/QC activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined education and/or experience in design/construction.
• Experience with laboratory, data center, and/or secure facilities (SCIFs) is desirable.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction and on-site owner representation for medium- to large-scale projects.
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality on behalf of the client/owner.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies with the project delivery team.
• Review and track project schedules; lead or participate in progress meetings; prepare or review minutes.
• Perform or oversee QA inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Document and track issues to resolution; coordinate with contractor, designer, and owner.
• Review change order proposals for entitlement and price; lead or assist negotiations.
• Coordinate commissioning and other third-party contractors; manage punch lists and closeout.
