Job summary

MBP is seeking a Construction Project Manager in the Columbia, MD area to lead complex secure facility projects, including SCIFs and associated IT/AV systems. The role emphasizes QA/QC, schedule management, and stakeholder coordination across designers, contractors, and owners.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of combined education/experience, a background in engineering or construction management, ICD-705 knowledge, and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• GED or higher with 15+ years of related education/experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-705 requirements and IC-705 standards.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or able to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project delivery team to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Review project schedules for completeness and reasonableness; track progress against schedule.
• Lead or participate in progress meetings and produce minutes.
• Provide QA inspections to verify contract compliance.
• Document and track issues to resolution with stakeholders.
• Review change orders for entitlement and price, lead negotiations.
• Coordinate reviews with accreditation authorities and third-party stakeholders.
• Coordinate installations related to electronic security, doors and IT/AV systems.
• Manage punchlists and project closeout requirements including training and manuals.
