Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead project quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the team. The role covers responsibilities from financial health to owner relations, with anticipation of growth from PM1 to PM2 based on experience.

The base pay ranges are provided for PM1 and PM2 with eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan. This on-site role requires travel and a strong background in construction management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proven ability to fulfill responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail-oriented and organized with multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate proficiency with Office, project tools, and web apps.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate estimates.
• Approve invoices and provide financials to Accounting for timely payment.
• Oversee budgets and selections of trade partners and suppliers.
• Lead Assistant PMs and Project Engineers and mentor the team.
• Approve timecards and provide performance feedback.
• Serve as main owner contact and assist with owner agreement reviews.
• Execute/Manage change orders and obtain approvals.
• Maintain schedule and budget through project completion with quality and risk management.
