Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Manager to lead on-site construction projects ranging from $20 million to over $200 million. You will work with a team to drive design-build solutions from concept through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of experience managing large-scale construction, a strong safety record, and proven leadership of PM teams. Travel nationwide is required as projects span across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience managing construction projects ($25M+), ideally design-build.
• Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience with set-up, budget planning, buyout and cost reporting.
• Knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
• Experience leading a PM team.
• Creative and results-oriented with urgency.
• Ability to walk job site, climb ladders and multi-floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop project cost systems including a Project Chart of Accounts.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent on site logistics plan.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors.
• Maintain understanding of the contract between Clayco and Owner.
• Oversee submittal, change order, and pay request processes.
• Assist in generating project costs and Job Cost Reports.
• Contribute to quarterly Total Cost Projection forecasts.
• Monitor and record staff training.
• Monitor project labor.
• Report and track equipment needs.
• Assist preconstruction in bidding projects.
• Implement safety, EEO, and Affimative Action programs.
• Participate in the project’s quality process.
• Contribute to scheduling and close-out processes.
