Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Manager to lead construction projects from concept to closeout on-site. You will coordinate with the team to deliver complex design-build efforts ranging from $20 million to over $200 million across the region.

The role requires a strong background in budget planning, cost reporting, subcontractor management, and safety compliance, with the ability to drive schedules and project close-out efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related.
• 6–10 years of experience managing construction projects ($25 million+), ideally design-build.
• Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience with set-up, budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting.
• Knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
• Experience leading a successful project management team.
• Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects at least 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Participate with project team and preconstruction in development of a Project Chart of Accounts.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent to develop a site logistics plan.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors.
• Maintain understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract.
• Oversee the submittal, change order, and pay request process.
• Assist in generation of project costs and Job Cost Report.
• Contribute to quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
• Monitor and record training of all staff personnel.
• Monitor project labor and report equipment needs.
• Assist preconstruction services in bidding projects.
• Implement safety, EEO, and affirmative action programs.
• Participate in the project's quality process.
• Contribute to schedule and project close-out processes.
