Job summary

Enterprise Electrical is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations for hourly craft employees, salaried staff, and project-based workers across multiple locations and jurisdictions. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as a technical resource for payroll compliance, wage and hour matters, certified payroll, per diem, and related reporting.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressively responsible payroll experience, including high-volume processing.
• 2–3 years of payroll supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Construction or electrical contracting payroll experience is highly preferred.
• Multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience with payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, audits, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead regular and off-cycle payroll processes, including schedules, approvals, and corrections.
• Validate time records, pay rates, project assignments, overtime, deductions, and inputs.
• Oversee payroll across multiple projects, locations, and jurisdictions with multiple pay rates.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour requirements and proper recordkeeping.
• Oversee certified payroll reporting, fringe benefits, per diem, and fringe credits.
• Lead payroll system administration and integrations with HRIS and timekeeping platforms.
• Investigate payroll concerns and coordinate corrections and solutions.
