Job summary

Charge EPC is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll operations for a multi-state construction organization, with in-house payroll, union payroll, and prevailing wage compliance.

You will oversee the payroll team, collaborate with Operations, HR, Finance, and Project Management to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing, while driving continuous improvement and staff development in a dynamic heavy civil environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll operations in multi-state environments.
• Knowledge of union payroll, prevailing wage, and certified payroll reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for salaries, prevailing wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
• Lead payroll team; partner with Operations, HR, Project Management, and Finance & Accounting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and union agreements.
