Job summary

Enterprise Electrical is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations across field and office staff. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance for hourly craft employees and salaried personnel across multiple projects and locations.

The role partners with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and Operations to resolve complex payroll matters and improve systems, controls, and processes. A strong leader with confidentiality and strategic payroll knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressively responsible payroll experience, including complex, high-volume payroll processing and compliance.
• 2–3 years of payroll supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Construction or electrical contracting experience is highly preferred, particularly involving field payroll, job costing, prevailing wages, certified payroll, per diem, and supplemental pay.
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all regular and off-cycle payroll processes, including schedules, workflow, reviews, and corrections.
• Validate time records, approvals, pay rates, project assignments, overtime, deductions, and inputs before processing.
• Oversee payroll across multiple projects, locations, and jurisdictions with different pay rates and labor cost allocation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour requirements, overtime, final pay, and recordkeeping.
• Oversee certified payroll reporting, reconciliation, submission, and documentation.
• Administer per diem, travel allowances, mileage, lodging, and other field-related allowances.
• Lead payroll system administration and integrations across payroll, HRIS, timekeeping, and accounting.
